Chester Poem
by Matthew
Lascheid / (12 years old)
He’s
just so soft and furry
He’s so poofy and so purry.
He’s the one we love
Peaceful as a dove
And unlike his Brit brother,
won’t scurry
He’s friendly and quite the
draper
He’s poofy as condensed water
vapor
He’s just so cute
And almost always so mute
He stands out like a rural
skyscraper
How could anyone call him too
soft?
He even gets up into my loft
So, so sweet
He likes to eat
He could never drape quite
too oft
He’s really so handsome, so
buff
He’s actually covered in
fluff
He’s our little baby
Is he silly, oh maybe
I call him my little
love-muff
He’s just so outgoing and
nice
He even enjoys chasing mice
Has he yet learned his name
Thinks life’s like a game
He likes to chase pieces of
ice
He really quite a cute little
guy
Though he need’s to get his
meows amplified
For he’s so hard to hear
Such a sweet little dear
I love him, which I shall not
deny
He’s impossible not to adore
When you look at him, beauty
galore
Worth more than frankincense
Never any violence
And he’s never afraid to
explore
